Heading home

Sunday morning we spent shopping around Union Square. Then, my cousin dropped us off at the airport to head to our own destination. It was a great weekend spent with my cousins. I cannot wait for next year.

Tourist Time

Saturday consisted of hanging off the trolley and headed down to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square and Kara's Cupcake.

Wicked

On Friday night, we went to see Wicked...Amazing!!! We ate at Burger King before the showing.

Chinatown

Friday, we started in Chinatown. Ate at the famous Sam Wo. You enter through the kitchen and climb a flight of stairs to the very small seating area. We ordered 2 main entries, fried rice and wonton soup. Total bill $20. What a great deal!!

We also came across the Fortune Cookie Factory. What a neat little treasure in Chinatown. Of course we purchased some fortune cookies, the adult version. The saying weren't that racey.

The evening plans included Wicked.

Family Art

There are many artists in our family. Below is my sister-in-law's art. The cat laying on the chair was my beloved Shyna, who passed away 6 years ago. The other pieces are of her husband's dog and her cat. I am stilling waiting for my German Shepherd to be finished.

Girls Weekend in San Francisco, CA

Myself and my 2 cousins decided we needed a girl's weekend! No kids and no husbands. We decided on San Francisco, I would fly from Phoenix, one cousin would fly from Seattle and the other cousin would drive from Sacramento. As for me trying to get out of PHX, was almost impossible. They shut down Sky Harbor. How many times have you heard of them shutting down our airport due to weather. I guess the 70+mph winds had a lot to do with it. I got to sit in the airport with many other travels for 5 hours.

My cousin had to wait at the San Fransisco airport for 2+ hours waiting for my plane to arrive. We were going to experience BART but considering it was cold and rain and dark, we hailed a cab to our hotel instead.

We stayed at the Hotel des Arts, in the Kelly Tunstall room. Each room or suite is painted by a different artist. I absolutely loved our room http://sfhoteldesarts.com/pr201kellytunstall.php.
