Leprechaun Trap
Cousins, Cousins, Cousins
My cousin and husband and two children traveled from Seattle to Carmel, CA for her sister's wedding. From Carmel they traveled to Palm Desert, CA, where they own a time share. Being so close to us (4 hours away) I could not help myself and had to visit. Yes, I had just seen them days before at the wedding....but....
Daughter #1 and myself drove out to hang out, spend the night and drive home the next day. We all went the Living Desert Zoo and saw great up close animals and lots of cactus. http://www.livingdesert.org/
Then next day we played by the pool all day. It was a great way to get my base tan!
The funniest thing of all was the average temperature in Palm Desert was 75 and the average temperature in Seattle was 35 and snow. Have fun back in cold Seattle, cousins!!

Heading home to PHX
We spent two nights at the Gosby House. This bed and breakfast inn has a lot of meaning for us, because it is the same bnb we honeymooned in. We were able to get the same room. It brings back so many memories of 7 years ago and what and who we were then and now.
For those of you who know about Buckwheat, he has a new friend Zweene

On the drive home we stopped and spent the night in Paso Robles Inn. We were able to get a room that had a private hot springs mineral spa tub on the balconcy. Nice! During the day we walked around the downtown area and sampled different wines. It was a cute town.

Wedding Day
My cousin and her husband got married on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. It took place at the La Playa Hotel in Carmel, CA. http://www.laplayahotel.com/. My aunt made the bride's wedding dress, matron of honors dress, flower girl's dress and the ring bearer's vest.
The plan was to have an outdoor ceremony and then move inside for the reception. Mother nature had a different plan. The lovey ceremony took place inside, the same place as the reception. Everyone had an up close view of the nuptials.
Both blue and yellow were the colors of choice. The decorations included handmade glass seashell beads, made by the matron of honor and butterflies. All could be seen throughout the reception hall.
There was a sit down dinner, which included a salad, chicken/tri-tip/vegetarian, and cheesecake for dessert.
The DJ did a great job getting all the guests onto the dance floor. I think the flower girl and the ring bearer (sister and brother) did most of the dancing.
It was a perfect way to watch two people get married!! I reminded her that forever is a long time!
