Creature of Habit

I am such a creature of habit, not as much as my college roommate, but I tend to do things the same way each time. Here is an example of my attempt to "change it up a bit".

I decided I would enter my usual grocery store from the other door and run the store in the opposite direction. I spent twice as much time in the store, because I kept having to go back up and down the aisle looking for things I had forgotten on my list. It was just plain pathetic!!!

My attempt to mix things up, needs to start with smaller things in my life. Like brushing my teeth, before putting on deodorant, or something like that. My the direction of the grocery is out of the question.

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend we wanted to get away for a portion of the weekend. We knew being a holiday weekend, we could go early. DH took Friday off of work and we headed up to Scottsdale to the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. We were able to get upgrade to the Presidential suite.

Since it was Friday, there were not too many people in the pool. They had activities for the kids every hour. DH #2 was very brave and headed to the water slide. It was an enclosed tube that was very long and shot her out at the bottom. She ended up going 5 times, DH #1 being more hesitate, went once.

Saturday morning, we ate at Scramble. It was a great place to eat breakfast. http://www.azscramble.com/it_begins.html.

Spent a few more hours swimming at the resort then checked out and heading to Mac Alpine's for lunch.

Along, with a place to eat, there is a vintage resale store connected. I will have to come back to spend time looking. They had so many tempting clothes and furniture.

It's raining ice cubes

The other night a short storm brought us rain and hail. The girls went running outside to enjoy the storm.

DD#1 said "It's raining ice cubes."

DD#2, "Those ice cubes hurt."

After 5 minutes the sun was shining and hot.
