Still Overdue

My cousin is now 8 days overdue. She went to the doctor yesterday and they did an ultrasound and ran some tests. I believe everything looked fine. Doctor said if baby does not come naturally, she will induce on Sunday. We all get to wait longer.

Overdue

My dear cousin is 6 six days, over her due date. She had also thought that her daughter would arrive early, but I guess she has other plans. We are all waiting patiently for her arrival, so please come out!!!

Where are the seasons?

It is the middle of the October and today's temperature was 101 degrees. This is the part of the year in AZ that I don't like. When I was younger living in Sacramento, this time of the year meant, the leaves would start changing colors, a slight coolness in the air and the smell of fall. I have found in AZ there are only 2 seasons....HOT and HOTTER. I miss the 4 seasons!!!

Bento Boxes

My new obsession is bento boxes for the kids. I want out and purchased several types of boxes and am having a great time filling them. I am finding the girls are eating more of there lunches. I am getting more and more creative with them as well. Here is my first attempt.

DH also got a new bento box for his birthday. I will have to take a picture one of these days.

Here are a couple of the blog I look at for great ideas:

Family vacation

My DH finally was able to quit his job of 11 years and move over to a new company. YAHOO!!! He was able to take 2 weeks off in between jobs. The first week we planned a family vacation. Here was our vacation journal:

1. Spent the one night in Blythe, CA Full hook ups, due to the heat

2. Travelled across Los Angels to arrive in Carpinteria, CA. Here we stayed at the state park, for 3 nights. Dry camping. However it was a record breaking heat wave of 105 degrees on the beach. Loved the town of Carpinteria!!! We were about 400 feet from the ocean and within walking distance of the downtown area. We ate Thai, Indian and Japanese food. There were day trips up to Santa Barbara.

3. Traveled up North to Morro Bay. We also stayed at the state park, for 2 days, with full hook ups. With only a quick drive into the downtown area and to Morro Bay rock, it was amazing site to be seen. There was a day trip to San Luis Obispo, for the huge farmers market and famous gum alley.

4. Finally traveled towards home across the desert this time and through Palm Spring for only one night, with full hook ups. We needed the hook ups due to the heat. Then the next morning off to Phoenix.

It was an amazing family vacation. The girls did an amazing job with all the traveling and the homework that was necessary to be out of school. Such great memories were made on this trip!

DH#1 was trying to catch a squirrel. The squirrel fell for the trap but manage to get away.
