Jeeping at Box Canyon

Jeeping near Four Peaks

My brother was in town from Yuma, husband and the girls went jeeping near Four Peaks. Since, the valley has gotten so much rain this season, the desert was in full bloom. The girls came across a frog and proceded to follow it or rather chase it as it hopped away. The girls enjoyed picking wildflowers, laying in the tall grass and climbing big hills.

Mother-in-Law's Birthday

Camping in Oracle, AZ

We stayed here after arriving at Catalina State Park to find that they were full. The camp host at the state park, told us to try Wishing Well RV Park, which was about 5 miles further north. At first glance we were leery but we were both tired and just wanted to stop for the night. The park is dirt with the sites having enough room to put out slides and park our 5th wheel. This is a very old park and I'm sure it's seen better days, but it was fine for an overnight stay.

We went back to Catalina State Park in the morning, to get a spot. However, after been warned by the camp host, that with the chance of a storm it would cause the wash to be filled and could be a couple of day in order to get out. We opted to stay another night at the Wishing Well. The camp hosts at the Wishing Well were to sister that were dress in full Cowgirl garb, with side arms and amimo belts. They took the girls around in their golf carts. I wish I could have taken a picture of them.

One of the activities for the weekend was to go to Tohono Chul Park http://www.tohonochulpark.org/wordpress/about-the-park/. What a neat garden area! I had an area for the kids to play and lots of cactus to look at. I would recommed it to anyone going down to the Tucson area.

Of course we had to eat at Bubb's Grub. We found this place a couple of years ago when we took the motocycle down to Tucson. What amazing BBQ! http://www.bubbsgrub.com/

BABY BABY BABY

My BFF gave birth to Nathan Glenn on March 2nd, weighing in at 6 lbs and 11 oz, 19 1/2 inches. He decided he wanted out 3 weeks early. He and mom are doing great.
